Anything Goes in Rainy Weather!
In my last post I promised that I would show a cool tablescape using my Lighthouse centerpiece. It is hard to believe, but it has been two weeks since then and it has rained and rained and rained and then it rained again. It is pretty difficult to have a beach themed patio dinner in weather like this and I have stubbornly refused to do it indoors! The sun did come up for a couple of days, but then a monster spider moved in and built a web across my patio umbrella to the deck (about 6 feet wide) and I decided to let him (or her!) have the deck for the time being, since he was huge! He finally moved on and the rains moved back in. As I write, it is again pouring down rain. It looks like the pattern will continue over the next week, so maybe it will be a fall beach themed tablescape by the time we actually get to enjoy our deck again!
Anyway, the rain has given me some time to finish up the summer semester and work on some fall crafts. If you know me at all, you know that I am a huge Disney fan. I am heading back to the castle this fall for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Food and Wine Festival (first time for both!)! I am so excited and I am looking ahead to my costume for the party and customizing my Magic Band.
While I have not yet ordered my Magic Band for the trip, I will be doing so in the next couple of days. To that end I have already put together the vinyl transfer to customize it for the trip. You know we southern girls have to put our monogram on everything!
The stickers are made of adhesive vinyl. I made the Minnie head from basic shapes in Cricut Design Space. The monogram was downloaded from Dafont (Monogramos) and my name was cut in "Waltograph", also from DaFont. The witch's hat is Cricut's "Happy Hauntings" (See the spider?- It seems to be a theme in my life these days!) and the bow is Minnie's own from the "Disney- Mickey Font" cartridge.
It may be difficult to picture what this is going to look like so here is my Magic Band from my last trip at Christmas time.
The witch Minnie will be on the side like this. I am not sure if I will put rhinestones in the center again. It is very difficult to get them to stick.
Again, my name will be on the side like this.
Mickey and Minnie loved it!
So this little project is just in time for this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog theme "Anything Goes"!
If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!
