Yay! It's Pumpkin Time!

I am torn- I think that fall is my favorite time of year.  I know I say that every year, but I think that I also say it about summer and spring, too (no, never winter!). I can never decide!  Anyway,  I am finally finding my way back to my craft room and blog after a very difficult time in my life and I am finding the creative process very therapeutic.  Fall presents so much inspiration for creative expression- crafts, decor, food and drinks!  I am so glad to be back!

It is perfect timing for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge's Pumpkin Challenge!

I made a covered pumpkin bowl from the "It's Fall in the Details" cartridge.  You know how I like to make 3d images. I thought that this would be a cute addition to a fall tablescape. I could put one at each place setting, (perhaps as a place card with a cute tag?) and I could put some fall treats (candy!) in them.  Well! I know that the design said large, but I didn't know how large until I started putting it together! It's about 11 inches tall! So, I can't put one at every place setting, but it makes a cute centerpiece! (And I can still put candy in it!)

I added 1/4 inch strips to cover the gaps between each section. I think it makes it look a little more complete as well.  If I ever make it again, I will add more strips to the side of each section to make it come together better.  The leaves beneath the pumpkin are from "Create a Critter" and "Doodlecharms".
