Happy Valentine's Day!
Once again it has been way too long since I posted. I logged on to share this truck that I made with my Cricut and a cut from SVGcuts. (You can find it here. I promise I am not affiliated with nor do I profit from this site).
I originally made the truck because it reminded me of one that my Dad painted several years ago. That painting was even more special than most to me because I took the reference photo that he painted it from. I was in college, taking a photography class, and went on a long ride through the Shenandoah Valley working on an assignment with a friend of mine. The truck was red in my photograph and in front of this beautiful old farmhouse. Dad flipped the truck to the other side of the house and painted it a weathered grey. This paper truck is not quite the same, but none the less, it is a special cut to me.
This truck is also symbolic of my life lately. My husband and I just moved from the house where we spent the last 25 years and where we raised our kids. It was time to move on and we certainly have, carting our belongings (okay we had them carted!) across town to our new home that we are very excited about. I would love to show you the painting I am talking about, but it is has not yet been unearthed in the tons of moving boxes I am surrounded by.
The truck is full of hearts (of course, they are glittery hearts!) not just for Valentine's Day, but because it seems that love is all around us now. Both of my daughters are engaged, as is my brother. Our lives are full of wedding planning and discussions about the futures of our beloved family members. Our lives, not unlike this truck, are full of love.
I won't make any more promises about how often I will post, I am still surrounded by unpacked boxes and I can't find half of what I own, but I do hope to share some decorating, crafting and party ideas as I did in the past. It is past time that I get back to enjoying my hobbies- creativity is an important part of my life that has been long neglected.
Until next time, I thank you for stopping by and wish you a Happy Valentine's Day and a truck full of love!
