A Little Bit of Luck in Cards!

It is spring break!  Yay! Unfortunately, as a college professor, spring break typically means just a little more free time to grade assignments and prepare for the second half of the semester (especially this year!).  But is also means that there is a little more free time to spend in the craft room.  This weekend I was "lucky" enough to spend some a few hours crafting some St. Patrick's Day cards. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Pick-up trucks are so popular in crafting and décor now.  I saw this little cut on the Cricut Design Space and thought how cute it would be if it carried a load of shamrocks to prepare for St. Patrick's Day.  The cut was one solid piece before I changed the truck sides to "wood" and the tires to black with a rhinestone hubcap.  I added a velum window and the "Leprechaun Express" lettering on the door.  I have always loved gingham and the green goes perfectly with the theme. I hope the little leprechaun driver secures his load before he leaves- it looks like some of his lucky shamrocks might tumble out of the back!

This shamrock comes from Design Space as well.  The bling in the middle is from the new Dollar Tree Crafter's Square.  I have really been surprised by the quantity and quality of their crafting products lately.  Polka dots are another favorite and I seem to have a lot of this paper in my stash.  I believe that I got it from Michaels years ago.  Like many crafters, I am trying to "shop" my stash as much as possible these days.

I love the saying inside the card (which, I forgot to photograph before we signed!)

"May your pockets be heavy and your hearts be light and

good luck pursue you each morning and night."

I think it is perfect for St. Patrick's Day!

As I write, my Cricut is busy cutting some treat boxes that I will use as favors for our St. Patrick's Day brunch next weekend.  I hope to share some fun details of that next time.

So, for now, I hope that good luck pursues you each morning and night!  Thanks for stopping by!
