Summer Means Grilling Season!

It has been so long since I posted, I actually had to Google how to add to my blog! Oh well,  that's okay.  I used to stress about how not posting, but I realize that it is a hobby for me, something to enjoy and not stress about!

It is summer again- one of my favorite seasons and for us, that means the grill gets a workout.  In fact, we are in the market for a new grill and I have been so excited to see all of the cool options. I have been checking out recipes, too- it is amazing what you can cook outside!

Anyway, I wanted to make a card for my favorite Grill Master and of course, I love to make 3-D projects!  I found this super cool box card from SVGCuts

If you have followed me for any length of time you know that I love that company.  They have such cute designs with great video instructions. I cut the main grill with a metallic silver paper.  The utensils were cut from a paper that is actually mirror-like and shiny like a spatula and spoon look like. You can't see it, but I added a wooden-like textured paper to the handles.    I popped the "knobs" to make them look 3-D.  I tried to mimic the Diet Coke six-pack as well.  That is the drink of choice around here!

In this view you can see the upper grill.  So cute!

For the photo I opened the card and placed it on some cute napkins that I found at Target.  We had hoped to cook out that afternoon and you know how I will run with a theme, but a storm came through right about dinner time!  Oh well, this weekend looks beautiful and we just moved the plans forward a week.

Despite not blogging, I have been busy decorating and crafting and I have several projects to show you in the weeks ahead.  I hope that you will come back soon!

In the meantime, I am going to link up with fellow crafters at Bitten by the Bug 2. Stop by and see what they have created for the "For the Guys" theme.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  2. Wonderful grill 3D creation. Our grill allows us to use propane or charcoal (this is what we prefer). My hubby is the outdoor grillmaster. When I grill I use the George Foreman grill inside.
