Twelve-Thousand, Four Hundred and Ten Days
I just realized that I did not show you my latest fun projects! The semester began this week and the last couple of weeks have been full of preparation and meetings (LOTS of meetings!). Returning to campus after 18 months has been interesting for sure! When I get a chance (and get them finished!) I will show you my back-to-school projects.
According to Siri, I have been married for 12,410 days (plus a few, since I am writing this a little after my anniversary). That is a loooooooong time!
You know that I have to find something to craft about for any occasion, so of course, I made my wonderful husband an anniversary card.
The card is from Cricut Design Space (I had to ask Siri for help in calculating the days!). For those of you who are math challenged like me, that is thirty-four years. I thought the card was super sweet, and yet masculine. It is so hard to find cards for men! The picture is my husband and me on our wedding day way back in 1987. We were children!
The card was super easy! But he liked it!
You know me, I also have to make a cake for every occasion!
This is a diabetic friendly cake that I make for a lot of special occasions. You can see one example here. As you can tell from the photo (and from the recipe if you visited the link) the frosting is basically whipped topping and pudding and difficult to spread, but this is one recipe that everyone, diabetic or not, seems to enjoy. And yes, those are the lights that are still up from the shower (you may remember seeing them here.)
I have really enjoyed making cake toppers lately! This one is again a cut from Cricut Design Space and is layered on four layers of brown cardstock with layers of gold cardstock on the front and back sides. I usually insert my toppers into straws before placing them in the cake. I feel that is more sanitary. They can also be saved to use again or scrapbook since they will not have any cake or icing on them.
Well, here's to twelve-thousand, four hundred and ten more days!
Thanks for stopping by today!
~Cynthia
