Celebrating Ten Years of Gardenias and Glitter!

 Imagine my surprise when I took a look back through my posts and discovered that June 4th is the Tenth Anniversary of Gardenias and Glitter!   

I have not been the most loyal of bloggers recently.  Life has a tendency to get in the way, but I could not go without noting this day.  

The blog has been a source of personal joy for me- an excuse to do more of what I love- crafting, baking, etc. It has not turned into a social media, money making, influencing tool that others have made blogs into, but that is okay.  That was never the goal.  But through the blog I have had the opportunity to serve on a couple of Design Teams, learned more about things that I enjoy, and even made some internet friends.   It has been fun to look back on some of the posts and what was happening at that point in my life- a celebratory look down memory lane! I still love to plan celebrations- big or small!  I still enjoy celebrating holidays- whether they be official or non-official.  (Shark Week, Star Wars Day, Talk Like a Pirate Day-any excuse will do!).  I will make a big deal out of any excuse to decorate and have "party food" (and maybe a special cocktail)!  My plan is to renew my commitment to the blog for now.  I hope to create new posts and maybe recreate some of the older ones with a new twist.  I have a little sketchbook full of ideas for celebrations, cocktails, treats, tablescapes and crafts.
