Happy Root Beer Float Day!
What better treat than a Root Beer Float on a hot summer's day?
When I heard that today is National Root Beer Float Day, I knew that I had found the perfect excuse to kick back on the deck in the shade and enjoy one of my summer favorites!
Of course, you know how to make a root beer float- place two (or three!) scoops of vanilla ice cream into a mug (preferably frosted) and fill the glass with your favorite root beer.
If you want an adult version, see this recipe from Clinton Kelly that we talked about in a post last fall. You can click through to that recipe here. Yum!
And if root beer is not your favorite drink, why not make an old-fashioned ice cream float with your preferred carbonated beverage?
I hope that you get a chance to sit back and enjoy this beautiful summer weekend with your favorite frosty treat!
Thanks for stopping by today!
