Prepping for a Super Father's Day!

I have been blessed with a wonderful Dad and my children have a wonderful father as well.   My Dad and my husband can and will do anything for their kids (and in my Dad's case, grandkids, too).  I think that is why I always go for a "Super Hero" theme for Father's Day. My Dad and my husband are my heroes.  That is why I chose to go for a Super Man theme for this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge "Masculine Challenge",  just in time for Father's Day.

One thing that I love about the new Cricut Design Space is the ability to upload images and cut them.

I uploaded this symbol from the internet (I wish I had made note of where).  It was pretty simple (there are a lot of good tutorials for uploading images online).

I made this gift tag to go with the theme.  The "hero" is from "Paper Doll Dress Up".  I think I have said it before, but this is one of my favorite cartridges.  I use it a lot more than I thought I would, not having young children at home.  The letters are uploaded from the internet.  I love that I can use so many different fonts in my crafting these days!

Just for fun, I decided to make a box.  I don't know what I am going to put in it (I haven't done my Father's Day shopping yet!), but I just learned how to make them (see my post on grad gifts here for my first ever box!) and I have been practicing.  The cut came from the Design Space.  It's the perfect size for a gift card, some candy or cookies (or jewelry!).

This is not the first time I have used this theme for Father's Day or a birthday.

In 2015 I made this cake for Father's Day.  You can read about it and my Dad here. You can also see the tablescape for the occasion here.

I made this cake for my husband's birthday a few years ago. The cakes, tablescape and the cards can all be used for Father's Day or a birthday party.  With all of the Marvel movies, especially the new "Wonder Woman" movie being so popular, Super Hero themes are really great party themes.

I hope that you will hop on over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what the other creative crafters have done with this theme and maybe post your own project!
