Pumpkin Spice Trail Mix
I have been looking at the Pumpkin Spice Cheerios boxes on the grocery shelves since August and being the pumpkin spice lover that I am, wondering what I could do with them. I didn't think that I would enjoy Pumpkin Spice cereal with milk so I thought about what might be good, looked for some recipes, but ultimately came up with a recipe for Trail Mix.
I would like to say that I am smart enough to come up with a simple recipe for trail mix, but I had to ask the opinions of my cousin, Gail and my husband, Jim. After a little trial and error, and more discussion than you would think necessary, I came up with this super easy, super quick snack.

Pumpkin Spice Trail Mix
2 cups Pumpkin Spice Cheerios
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup Triple Chip Morsels (or Semi-Sweet, Dark Chocolate or White Chocolate morsels)
1 cup roasted pecan halves*
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Pour the ingredients in a gallon size plastic bag. Shake. (Shaking distributes the cinnamon more effectively than stirring.)
*Pecan halves can be roasted for 5 minutes in a 350 degree oven. (Yes, I did have to look that up!)
I have been catching up on my every day tasks since my big work project finished last week (successfully, I might add!), but I can't wait to share all of the fun I have planned this fall!
I guess I should say that I do not have any financial interest in nor do I gain anything from mentioning Cheerios- I just love them!
Thanks for stopping by today!
