Santa's Christmas Vacation

My youngest daughter is serving an internship in Florida this year.  Warm sunshine is pervasive and the constant 80 degree temperature does not feel like Christmas to her.  To me it sounds wonderful!  I think it would probably sound good to Santa sometimes, too. Even he must get a little tired of the snow and ice on occasion.  When I saw that the theme to this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog was Christmas, I thought of Santa and how he might have some winter dreams of Florida himself. I think that he just took the sleigh down to the beach for a little rest and recreation before his big night!

I have been wanting to try a step card for some time now and when I imagined this card I thought that the stand up format would work well to create the scene I envisioned.

Santa is from the "Paper Doll Dress Up" cartridge. The crab, palm tree, bucket/shovel, dolphin and surfboard come from the "Life's a Beach" cartridge.  The "SEAsons Greetings" stamp is from this week's sponsor, "Pretty Cute Stamps".

So here is this week's challenge:

Challenge #316-Christmas
Make a project or card about Christmas

This Weeks Sponsor

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

Hop on over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what the talented crafters have created this week.  Please join us with a project of your own!

Thank you for stopping by this week!
