Anything Goes-At Easter!
This past week I shared a casual Easter Tablescape with you. For the center piece I used a pretty little yellow basket with paper carrots inside. I made the basket centerpiece with my favorite crafting tool of all time, my Cricut, with an svg file that I purchased at Dreaming Tree.
I have used their files before and I especially love the how-to videos that are posted with each design. You can view the video before deciding whether to purchase the file, which is great for my sake, I can tell if it will be too complicated or too time-consuming for me to complete.
I made three of these baskets in various color schemes for the Easter Bunny to deliver to family members. They are so pretty I can imagine them being used for centerpieces at weddings or for Mother's Day or other spring events, not just Easter.
Inside I placed carrot shaped boxes filled with chocolate eggs. These were made with my Cricut also using Design Space. (I believe the cartridge was called "Theresa Collins- Bunnies and Chicks.) I cut them out of various orange prints and solids and tied the tops closed with green rafia.
They turned out super cute and super easy to make. They would make great favors for Easter parties or classroom gatherings. If you do not have a Cricut, JoAnn Fabrics has a very similar pattern that can be cut without a machine.
Now this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge is "Anything Goes with an optional Twist: Sequins". I wish that I had had time this week to play around some pretty sequins from our sponsor, Spiegelmom Scraps. Take a look at the awesome prize pack below!
