Ahoy Mateys! It's Time for Dinner!
Last week I introduced you to Captain Skelly, the pirate captain who commandeered my sunporch for the Halloween season.
Skelly sets a fine table for his pirate friends.
The tablescape begins with silver chargers and black dinner plates placed on a runner covered with maps of all of the seas that the pirate friends have plundered.
And salad plates bear fair warning to all who sit at the table.
Silver candlesticks center the table while the pirates' treasure of gold doubloons spill across the cloth.
And skeleton tealights grimace at guests and make sure they don't feel too welcome.
While Skelly's trusty canine pal stands watch and the gator continues to await any poor soul forced to walk the plank.
Shadows begin to fall across the porch a little earlier this time of year and a gentle breeze blows to remind us that the warm sunshine and pool-time, like Skelly, won't be around for much longer. Soon we will be celebrating other seasons and other joys.
And Skelly will join us again next year, I wonder who he will be then?
Thanks for stopping by today!

Really clever and fun! My Davy Jones locker theme wreath would go perfectly with your pirate theme! Love the table covering, sails, and of course the accent plate. Nicely done.
