Thank You "Snow" Much!

I took advantage of the "Bomb Cyclone"  (AKA Snow Storm Grayson, The Blizzard of 2018 and the week of misery) to write a few thank you notes.  I was blessed with many generous and thoughtful gifts this Christmas and it was past time that I expressed my appreciation.  I know that there are a lot of super cute and sweet cards out on the market, but I wanted to make some special cards for some special people.

I got an embossing machine for Christmas.  If I had know how much I would enjoy having it I would have gotten one sooner!  This week I decided to try out the dot background folder because I thought that it looked like snow. That led to this cute snowman from the "Doodle Charms" cartridge and then to the silly sentiment inside "Thank you Snow Much".

The snow man, snowflakes and embossed dots were made from a glitter paper.  I adhered the snowman and snowflakes with a pop dot so that they would stand out.  The snowflakes have a "rhinestone" center and the snowman's eyes and buttons are not made out of coal, but black "gems".  The ribbon is from my stash which I have resolved to get through this year.

I am really enjoying learning about all of the techniques I can use to embellish my projects with my embossing machine. A relatively inexpensive crafting tool, I think it will add a lot of dimension (no pun intended!) to my crafting!

This week's theme for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge is "Something New".  We are challenged to make a project using a new cartridge, embellishment or image.  I decided that using my new embossing machine (embellishment?) would be perfect for the challenge!

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!
