Ready for a Vacation!
If you have spent time at Disney World lately you would think that almost everyone there has a Cricut. Personalized t-shirts are everywhere! I was lucky enough to go to "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival a few days ago and had a super good time. Of course, like everyone else, I had to customize my wardrobe (and a few other things!) before I went.
If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!
On the purple tee, Minnie Witch's hat is made from the Happy Hauntings cartridge with Disney's Mickey Font for the bow. I made Minnie herself from Cricut shapes. The font is from DaFont.com (Monogramos- I use that font a lot). On the orange tee, I spliced Minnie's silhouette to make the hat, adorned it with Minnie's bow and used it to decorate "Boo" made from the Waltograph font, also from DaFont. Minnie's silhouette is repeated on the "Mousekeeping" tip envelope. Since I can't stop once I get started creating, I also decorated my travel toothbrush cover (who doesn't?). The Mickey ears on that are from a punch I bought from Michael's ages ago.
You may remember that I began preparing for my journey in this post: Anything Goes in Rainy Weather! My Magic Band looked super cute with the monogrammed witch's hat and name on it. I found that the trick to getting the vinyl to stick to the plastic band is to heat the vinyl with a hair dryer after adhering it.
Looking at it now I can't believe that I forgot the "rhinestones" in the center! I must be losing it!
Anyway, I planned this trip several months ago on a whim and I was glad I did. I needed a little vacation from reality for a while and I enjoyed both events immensely. Of course, you have to love any place that let's someone my age where a tutu and trick or treat! (Seriously- anyone can trick or treat at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!)
It's super cool (and timely!) that I can share this with you for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog's "Halloween" challenge.
Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!
