A Rock and Roll Birthday!
We celebrated my husband's birthday this past week. Since he got a new guitar for his birthday I decided to have a rock and roll theme for his party.
I stopped by my local party store and found some party ware- rockin' plates and napkins and even a party hat. For a centerpiece I made a two-tiered cake covered with black fondant and fondant "flames".
The guitar on top of the cake was made with fondant and slightly resembles his new guitar.
The guitar "picks" are confetti made from scrap paper and cut by a guitar pick cutter. My brother gave one to my husband for Christmas a few years ago. With it you can make a guitar pick out of any old credit card, gift card or similar material.

Now, if only someone will tell me what to do with a leftover four foot tall guitar shaped helium balloon!
