Income Tax Cocktail
It's tax season so I thought it might be a good time to enjoy a cocktail to either toast your refund or drown your sorrow over a big bill.
I Googled "income tax cocktail" for inspiration thinking that there would be a wide assortment of drinks that people invented to mark the occasion. Instead, I discovered there is actually a drink called the "Income Tax Cocktail" created in the 1920s. The exact origins are unknown, but the recipe is consistent throughout all of the sites I visited. I saw the drink served in an old fashioned "coupe" shaped glass so I thought I would try that as well.

I found the drink to be a little more bitter than I like, but it is still a good cocktail. So let's raise our glasses in a toast to the extra three days we have to file this year!
Thanks for stopping by today!
